Jeremy Whitham

I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and fell in love with Hollywood at the age of seven during a family trip to Los Angeles.

My passion for storytelling was inspired from a young age by the films of Spielberg, Lucas and Zemeckis, whose intrepid heroes often find themselves in strange new worlds in pursuit of their destinies. That might help to explain why, a few years later, I chose to pursue my childhood dreams, moved to LA, and graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Throughout my career, I’ve been mentored by several TV industry leaders who taught me the value of innovation when it comes to creating compelling series that connect with viewers. You can’t achieve greatness if you’re trying to replicate someone else’s success; the rewards and satisfaction will only come after you take creative risks, fight for your vision and chart your own path.

The most creatively ambitious and innovative work of my career has been inspired by my innate curiosity and imagination, often in the form of a question. For example, what would happen if you could augment the power and strength of human fighters by connecting them to life-size humanoid robotic avatars in a next generation sport? (Robot Combat League, is what.)

I believe my unique career experience has positioned me to continue innovating, setting trends and leading the TV industry into the future. I’m an expert at guiding the creative processes and managing the people and departments involved when taking a project from ideation to the screen. I’m especially passionate about stories revolving around new forms of technology, our evolving relationship with technology and the ways we relate to one another through games. I’ve worked with many world-class animators, game designers, roboticists, and AI/machine learning engineers during the last few years, and I always enjoy learning from their expertise and utilizing cutting-edge technologies and tools to build out a shared creative vision.

Outside of my work, I’m an avid retro gamer, 80’s trivia whiz, and writer of the best Indiana Jones fanfiction you’ve never read. I’m married to my number one fan, Oxana, and together we care for the most well-mannered Chihuahua you’re likely to ever meet, Jazzy.
