During my time at Smart Dog Media, I was credited onscreen as Producer on an original singing game show format for NBC called THE WINNER IS. Nick Lachey hosted the show in which two contestants would take turns performing onstage, then place wagers on whether or not they think the audience voted for them as the best singer. I wrote the first draft of the host script and, later, worked with the EPs from Talpa Media during a series of network run-throughs, streamlining the unique game mechanism whereby competing singers must make a decision to either take the money being offered by the host… or stay and bet on their talent.
